- These hand-dyed silks are ready to use right out of the box, washed, pre-shrunk and colorfast. Collagists, art quilters and book artists will probably want to develop them further with marks and embellishments. Clothing artists and sewing enthusiasts may use them as the starting point for their own creative spin.
- The weight of the silk is expressed in mm (mommie) per square yard. 5mm is extremely light, like a thin China silk, where a 4-ply crepe could be 40mm.
- Measurements are given in inches and yards. All silks sold by the piece, except Habotai. The minimum Habotai cut is 1 yard.
- There is a price range given for each weave to allow for the greater or lesser complexity of design and number of processes.
